MumbaiThe best time to visit Adi Kailash and Om Parvat is between May and October, when the weather is relatively clear, roads are accessible, and the natural beauty is at its peak. Avoid the monsoon months of July and early August due to landslide risks and route blockages. June and September are especially ideal for spiritual seekers and photographers alike.
Yes, permits are mandatory for Indian nationals visiting Adi Kailash and Om Parvat due to their proximity to the Indo-Tibet and Indo-Nepal borders. Required documents include valid photo ID (Aadhar/Passport), address proof, and passport-size photographs. Shiva Trails takes care of all permits and approvals to ensure a hassle-free journey for all our yatris.
While no trekking is required, the yatra involves long drives through high-altitude terrain (up to 15,000 ft), so basic fitness and acclimatization are essential. Seniors and children above 10 can travel comfortably if medically fit. Our team ensures accommodation, meals, oxygen, and medical aid throughout the journey.
Shiva Trails provides clean, comfortable stays in hotels, guesthouses, and homestays along the route at Pithoragarh, Dharchula, Gunji, and Chaukori. We offer nutritious vegetarian meals, mineral water, and warm refreshments throughout the tour. Special dietary needs can also be arranged with prior notice.
Mobile connectivity is available up to Dharchula, after which network coverage is limited or absent. BSNL has some range in Gunji, but it's unreliable. We recommend informing family in advance and keeping power banks or solar chargers, as electricity is limited in higher altitudes. Our team carries emergency communication devices as backup.
